    Question Detailing

    Hello

I am a fairly new to the world of revit and am havin some difficulty in standardizing how my drawings look. Especially when it comes to detailing. Formerly when using autocad it was extremely easy to develop details that looked really good. Our office is having a hard time achieving the same detail quality in revit. Please help. Also, what is the best way to develop details.. Should we use the model to its full extent, or simply draw completely in 2d. We want to use the 3d model to its full capacity, however we find it increasingly annoying that we can't use any of the details we develop in otherprojects, especially when the program is updated year after year....

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

    Thank you Mark

That is helpful. When inserting the cad file into revit it ends up all the same line weight and there are issues with text etc. is there w way that we can have the original cad line weights brought in for each specific detail so we don't have to Use the lineweight tool on every single line?

    Thanks

Import a Jpeg image of the CAD file, if you want the lineweight/font integrety.
