Exclamation Symbolic lines showing up in all view

Revit Architecture 2013, Railing Support Families - I have drawn some symbolic lines in the Front Elevation View. These line are showin up in all views, not only in the family editor, but also in the project environment when the family is placed in the project. Please see attached screen captures. Has anybody else ran into this issue? What I am I doing wrong?

Now for some reason it is not letting me attach/ uploade the png files of the screen capture

I can't answer your symbolic line question but as far as the uploading problem, try using the basic uploader instead of the enhanced one. I had problems with the enhanced uploader and using the basic uploader helped me out greatly. You have to upload one file at a time when you have multiple files to upload but it seems to work without fail.

Are you positive that you were drawing Symbolic Lines? Symbolic Lines only appear in the view in which they were drawn. For instance, if you drew something in a plan view in your family, it will only appear in plan views in your project. This gets a little messy when you're working with Face Based content, because the plan view from your family is relative to the object in which you host it to in the project. I suggest checking the properties of these lines, to make sure they are indeed Symbolic. You can always try the convert lines command to switch between Model & Symbolic linework. If you're linework isn't hosted to a workplane, but instead is hosted to modeled geometry, then you're not going to be able to make the conversion.

    Cheers,
    Jeff S.

In the family editor somehow (must be a bug) it draws model lines the first time you select symbolic lines - just select the "incorrect" lines and convert to symbolic

I've noticed this too, since it asks for a workplane the first time you draw symbolic lines. I often draw a symbolic line, cancel out of the command, delete the line, then start drawing symbolic lines again. That seems to work.
