Smile Conrete Column Hatching - Pattern/Filled Region

    Hi Everyone,
I am trying to get our columns to look as Picture named (CAD) (the hatch is below and dark lines is above)
    Problem is:
Columns are not opaque in revit, this means lines gets seen in the cut area....(SEE SECOND PICTURE)
Also. How do i get the specific pattern for underneath? i find it impossible to create the hidden line hatch.
    Any suggestions?
    Regards
    Francois

    Francois,

If I am understanding you correctly, you wish to hide all "hidden column" lines but add a hatch for the hidden column below? If you open your Visibility/Graphics menu in your view, you can select the "hidden lines" category under the column (or structural column) category and uncheck the box in order to make the hidden lines invisible in your view. To address your second item, I do not believe that REVIT allows for a hatch surface pattern to be applied to the face of a hidden column, so you may need to use a hatch region to create the desired pattern for hidden columns (which you may want to do BEFORE you hide all hidden column lines).

    Hope that is helpful,

    Rosanne
