Data Shortcuts - Drawing not yet saved error...

I keep getting the "This drawing has not been saved yet" error when I try to create data new data shortcuts...right after I save the drawing. The only thing I can do is close c3d and open the drawing again every time I want to create a data shortcut. Has anyone ever run across this. I create a lot of them and its just an annoyance to re start c3d all the time. Thanks

I am running 2013, I don't think that hotfix applies...? I think I may have solved the problem by changing my default save version back to 2013. I had it saving to 2012 for other reasons. Seems to be working so far.
