Dimension Text to OUTSIDE of Dimension Line

Summary: I wish to have the option to locate the dimension text outside of the dimension line as the option allows you to have in Autocad.

Description: Dimensioning floor plans is a pain when the text locates itself on the inside of the dimension line. It is a PITA to manually move each dimension text to the outside just to make the plan look neat and readable. This should really have been an option ages ago.

So how does this work when you have multiple dimensions in a row? The ability to move the text of a dimension, and automatically add a leader with it seems to work pretty good for me....

It's exactly the same as the dimension text on the other side of the plan where it is already located on the outside of the dimension string. Autocad has the option to locate all the dimension text on the outside of the dimension string. Revit will have the text obscuring the witness lines on the right side or the bottom string when the text read convention is "Left, then up". The other options won't give you that flexibility either. At best you would need to create alternate dimension styles but you would still have one dimension string which will obscure the witness lines. (Mostly when dimensioning wall widths, or when windows, doors and or walls are located closely to each other.)
