line draw and break

Can you upload a sample drawing of the lines that you are trying the code on ?

Hey Guys

Is there a way of making a lisp that draws a line and breaks it at each intersection with another line of a similar layer. eg: *-e-*
I was thinking possibly grabbing 2 points drawing the line and making a selection set of everything crossing the 2 points while logging the interection coords and layer name. Then break accordingly.

Im still new to lisp coding so I dont really know if this is possible or how to even go about it.
And help would be appreciated.

Many routines for breaking lines out there. BreakObjects22.LSP is my favorite with many options, several of them from a dialog box. MyBreak brings up the dialog box, but read all the commands there may be others that suit your needs better. You will need to login to the swamp (free!), and the thread it's in "Show Your Stuff" is a collection of lisp routines worth exploring.
