I need to place a pipe flange in an assembly for a process vessel. I placed the pipe stub from the content center, then placed my flange (also from the content center). I then used the Insert Constraint to locate the flange to the end of the pipe stub properly.
My problem now is that I can not figure a way to constrain the bolt holes in the flange so that they straddle the centerlines of the vessel.
I should note that I am placing the flange as a part in an assembly file. I am not using the Tube and Pipe tool as this flange is part of the vessel fabrication and I want it to appear on the vessel drawings rather than piping drawings that will be developed later in the project.
I am a VERY new user of Inventor and the simplest things seem to baffle me. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. This will be a very common application for me going forward so I need to figure this out.
Thanks very much.
