Default A hardware question I could not find when I searched

OK - So I am certainly not the one to ask about hardware so I am bringing our IT's questions here:

Can you ask them if it is possible to run autocad/revit on either a terminal server or citrix server?

If this is possible...which one is preferred? Citrix or Terminal Server

Can it be run virtually with Vmware Esxi?

If so...what specs would the server need?

If not and it needs to be a physical server, what specs would the server need?
