Default Levels and Duct Visibility Issue

This seems like it should be an easy fix, but for some reason I cannot find a solution: we have copy monitored levels in our project. The workset is turned on, the annotation category for levels is turned on in VG (whether in a view template or not), and I cannot see the levels in any section view. Any thoughts?

Also, in my plans duct elbows are not showing up, if I hover over them, they are there an I can select them but I cannot see them. I have checked the VG settings and again ducts and duct fittings are on, any thoughts on that one?

    Thank you.

Do you have worksets or design options enabled? I'd check those visibility settings first.

The workset is loaded and no we are not using design options.

Regarding the duct elbows - make sure there is an "up" and "down" symbol specified for the type of duct system you are connected to. I think in earlier versions of Revit, there were no elbows specified for "Other" and "Outdoor Air" systems by default so you would never see your elbows going up and down.

The levels issue sounds like it could be a lot of different problems, not sure what to tell you there except carefully go over all types of visibility options. Can you see them in an elevation (not section) view?

First problem is usually caused by the Level not intersecting the area where you cut the section because of a Scope Box assigned to the Level. Cut a super long section beyond the length of the building and check. The second issue happens when you are specifying the same floor of the view as the underlay in the View Properties.
