Default Deleting a Hatch deletes the boundary as well

Has anyone else run into this? Delete a hatch pattern and it deletes all the associated boundary lines. If the hatch is edited so that it is no longer associative it does not but that is an extra step when all you want to do is delete the hatch.

Is there a setting to prevent this? and I do not mean never making hatches associative.

Default Re: Deleting a Hatch deletes the boundary as well

The selection of the Hatch and Associated Boundary is controlled by the PICKSTYLE System Variable - setting it to 0 or 1 will prevent the Boundary from automatically being included when the Hatch is selected.

0: No group selection or associative hatch selection
    1: Group selection
    2: Associative hatch selection
3: Group selection and associative hatch selection
