I have moved the light object down below the canned light. I have increased the light wattage. I have artificial lights on. I have grouped them and selected them. Not dimmed.
Set to interior not exterior.
What am I missing?

Soft shadows has been on for this as well.
Daylight portals have been enabled.
Have you tried the light switch? (just kidding!)
I'm not too savvy with rendering, but have you made sure that the Lighting Fixtures Category is turned on? if the light fixtures are not visible, then I believe their light source won't appear in the rendering.
DING DING DING - NOPE - but thanks for playing Name that Rendering Problem!
Light fixtures on - light source on
gonna try bringing up the lights - I want to see the light source coming from the can lights and it is not.
Lights now at 1800.00Watts and no change from previous rendering.
Tried it in the cloud rendering - better but still not seeing the lights coming from the can lights.
Is the light source within the can light? I found it works better if the light source is at the face of the ceiling....and use a light enabled material to get the glow effect within the can light.
