Has anyone run across a routine that will allow a scheduled nwcout in a Revit model, whether it be Architectural, Structural, or MEP?
I know there's autosave but, how about autonwc??

I just use a keyboard shortcut in Revit. An automated routine might not be so easy since Revit stores the last saved folder as default. If you work on more than one project at a time, this might be troublesome. It is also common for us to issue single floor models broken out from a whole building model. An automated routine would need to export a series of preset views and name the NWC files accordingly.

I'm just looking for a way to automate it so that we can continually see the updates across the different disciplines. When you have over 100 users on a project and someone is working in Architectural and never NWCout's his work until the end of the day, there's a lot of things that will affect.
I've not tried them but Profox offers a set of Navis add-ins. One of them, Navistools Publisher appears to include something similar to what you seek. They offer a trial version for testing.

If the web site doesn't load correctly, just Google "profox navisworks".

Hi Guys
There was a AU session on this in 2011 titled "Automating Autodesk® Navisworks® Clash Reports" by Dan Chasteen & Iffat Mai.
Since then there is a few new things available.
First is that we can append an RTV file directly from Navisworks 2013 and
Second In Revit 2013, the NWC exported is available from the application button.
I know there are some issues with appending an RVT file directly into Navisworks, but depending on the intended use it may be acceptable. I also will assume that when 2014 comes out those issues will be resolved. If we are happy with this we can get windows task scheduler to open up a NWF file on demand. If the RVT file is appended in, a new NWC file will be created automatically.
Second option is to use the journal files in Revit (This could fall over if the file contains any unreferenced files or errors on open up). Create a journal file of opening a rvt file (dethatching it) and then using the NWC export via the application menu. Again I believe this can be run via the windows task scheduler (I haven’t tired it yet). Should work.
