Does transparency not work anymore in 2013?

I'm trying to see plumbing piping under fixtures in a linked model, after changing the category to 100% transparent its still not working it comes up dashed. Is this a bug with 2013? This is the most frustrating thing about revit something works perfect in the previous version but don't count on it working in the next version.

Just a shot here, but it may be because fixtures are an MEP element.

Had the same issue. I believe if the link's model categories were "By Host View", they would hide the pipe beneath. If the model categories were set to "Custom" and then the plumbing fixtures were set to 100% transparent it worked. You may want to try that.

A linked view is ususally set to custom for a reason. Changing to host view would create more problems.
