    Default Door Material

Is there a way to align a model surface pattern in a family (see attached)?
I added a stone patttern to my door family and I want to be able to align it with my wall surface pattern.
    Thanks.

Create the line you want as a model line in the door family, with a instance parameter for the dimension of it from one side or the other. Then you could move that line in your project. If the dimension is set to 0 it lines up with the edge and effectively disappears. Or have a visibility instance parameter, too.

Thanks that worked although it would be nice if I could do the same with a model surface pattern. I tried but it did not work.
