Vertical Wall Reveals used as Precast Panel Chamfers!

Hi everyone, my question has to do with vertical reveals used as chamfers (basically vertical reveals that are always at the edge of the wall) for Precast Walls. Basically what I need revit to do here is allow me to apply a vertical reveal to the (left/right) edges of walls like it does to the top/bottom edges in the walls system family.  I am currently just aligning the edge of the reveal to the edge of the wall so it moves with it, but inevitably the lock will get broken when (for instance) I need to adjust the profile of said wall, the association gets lost just by going into edit mode. If I'm missing something obvious, then I would appreciate any info I can get on the subject of vertical reveals. Thank you.

I would tend to utilize custom wall families (not wall system families) that have the shape required.

try using wall revel profile for vertical joints, same thickness as wall panel with chamfers.

@silleke, I'm glad to see that I am not the only one out there with this precast question!

@dmahan, thank you for the file, but I need the walls to be separate and countable so false joints will not work on one long wall.

@David, I am under the impression that Revit only allows Wall system families with multiple types, so when you say "custom wall families" my mind is blown! Are you referring to the model inplace component or is there a family that can be given wall properties that I have overlooked?

@ Mark, thank you for that suggestion, "Parts" seems to work very well for solid walls!

but,

I am having trouble getting the division profiles to work with layered walls such as insulated walls (for instance a 12" wall comprised of 3"Conc.-4"Insulation-5"Conc.). I think the division profiles are having trouble with the multiple thicknesses in one wall type so I will play around some more to further understand how "Parts" works and hopefully get it to work with insulated walls like it does for solid walls.
