Default Drawings do not plot to scale

When I measure the architect's basement wall with a scale on their sheet it comes out to 40'-0", as it should. Problem is, when I measure the same wall on our MEP sheet, it reads 39'-6". What would be the most likely culprit?

Probably a margin in your print settings.

Do you mean when it is printed to paper?

If so then your print settings shoudl be setup to 100% zoom, not fit to page.

I've gotten better results changing the setting from "Center" to "Offset from Corner - No Margin" as well as setting the Zoom to 100%.

Thank you all for the help. The "Zoom" instead of "Fit to page" worked.
