    Default Inscribed Polygon

I made this family seeing the article by Alfredo Medina . Formulas he mentioned for inscribed & circumscribed metion below is theoereticly currect but in case of circumscribed it works perfectly while for inscrbed it is not.

type of polygon Side = (meters) Side = (feet and inches)
    inscribed 2 m * R / 1 m * sin(180° / N) 2' * R / 1' * sin(180° / N)
    circumscribed 2 m * R / 1 m * tan(180° / N) 2' * R / 1' * tan(180° / N)

    Any help ?

    The family is attached
    Thanks

    Hello, LJU,

The reason is that to make the polygon work as circumscribed or inscribed, the location of the nested line varies. The math is correct, but the "revit" action to take for each type of polygon is different. You can't simply change the formula without changing the location of the nested line.

It means the nested line must be placed inside & it's ends to be constrain to center of the arrayed circle. So from center to end of line=R.
I think you will not share it & I must find the way. Is it so ?

That is explained in the blog article. I think the explanation is already shared, is it not?
