    Question Baluster Family Best Practices

Is anyone aware of a resource that goes through the logic and best practices for making balusters, baluster posts and baluster panels in Revit 2013? I'd like to understand how to think about these, how they are supposed to behave in different conditions, etc. Trial and error is very difficult because there are so many variables once this gets translated into railings and stairs. I'd be very happy with an article or written guide or similar. Many thanks.
