Design View Representations

I am having problems with creating view representations of an assembly line. I have the original model with the parts in the operating position as the default view rep. I created a second view called 'maintenance' where i moved some of the parts out of the line by changing their constraints. However when I activate the default view the parts show up in the maintenance position. I would like to have two different views for creating drawing views without having two different models. Any clues as to how I can do this?

Perhaps a positional representation rather than a design view representation...

I'm using Inv 2012 and can't seem to get my head around that. I have different views including section views in the model, but unable to show those views on the drawing.
Don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Section views are typically created in the drawing, not in the model. Transferring model sections to the drawing can be problematic, at best. What other types of views are you referring to? Can you post anything?
