Unable to Hatch Splined Area!

Hello all! I'm trying to hatch an enclose splined area, actually a few of them. I was able to hatch one then the other three won't hatch. Message just says unable to hatch boundary! circles & squares hatch O.K.. Something about splines it doesn't like! Using Acad 2005!

I have had problems with this off and on with almost every version of AutoCAD. A trick I use that sometimes works is breaking up the area into smaller areas by drawing lines through the area. If that don't do it you can try using the boundary command. This will make a polyline boundary of the area. Then you should be able to hatch it. Then you can delete the polyline boundary.
