Are you able to connect to Revit Server from Revit, but you cannot connect via Revit Server Administrator? If that is the case, consider the solution here: http://blogs.rand.com/support/2012/0...nistrator.html

The last part is re-registering the IIS component. That fixes the typical reason for the error message.

thanks for the reply, i change the ip adress in RSN.ini and it works well.

but i have the problem in connecting local revit.

here is what i did in my set up,

i use VMware to install RS 2013 and satisfy all the requirements, i also try to use the windows 7 machine which i put my vmware and it also works perfectly connecting to revit server accelerator, but when i use separate machine and configuring rsn.ini, and when i try to connect my revit local it says revit server accelerator cannot be found.

    any process that i miss?

    thanks

Are you able to ping to the DNS or IP of the Revit Server Accelerator? Furthermore, verify that you can telnet to the accelerator: DOS command prompt -> telnet %acceleratorname% 808

Ping is successful, but the telnet it says could not open connection to the host, on port 808: connection failed

That is why you cannot connect. Sounds like a firewall issue on port 808. It could be from the Windows Desktop, the Revit Server Accelerator, or any other device in between. In rare situations, it could be the ISP.
