I am trying to use two vehicles I found in the Revit Entourage section (the Explorer and the Beetle) but I do not want them to show up as wireframe in plan view...is there a way to change this w/o having to turn on/off all of the layers of the object?

I think all you need to do is open the file as a project. Delete the lines in plan view (that is why it looks to be wireframe, they are only 2d lines) make sure that you check the filter and deselect all but lines

Then you need to select the 3d and change the visibility property to be "on" in plan view.

Luigi's method of modifying the visibility and symbolic lines within the family works, or alternatively, you can turn off entourage in the plan views vis graphics settings.
