    Default Revit Pile Caps

I would like to know how some of you are modeling pile caps in Revit Structure.

    Here is the example:
I am modeling a dock where we are using Type II girders that rest on a pile cap at each end. (See attachment)
    Thanks.

Revit has pile and pile cap families, from component tab, place a component, then load and look in structural foundation folder.
but, do not think this will help you, these pile cap and pile families do not use battered pile (sloped piles).
I would use structural column for piles, and use the slanted column options, I would study how the slanted column options work.
Also I would not use the pile cap family, the pile cap family likes to be at the bottom of a structural column, but use structural foundation slab. I think this will work better for you, if you have odd shaped pile caps.
Just make a structural foundation type using the depth you need for pile cap, then sketch in plan the shape of the pile cap.
you can also host rebar in this family. another tip, if you have several pile caps and pile that are the same, then create a group, this will speed things up a bit if placing a lot of pile caps. The Revit group can be used like the AutoCAD Block command. You can always un-group a placed group and edit for different condition.
