We are an MEP firm working with an Architect that is using Revit for the first time. I have 5 years experience using Revit.

-This project is a new 14 story luxury apartment building.

-The architect modeled the project in such a way that every view must be rotated 90° to fit on the sheet. With 14 floors and several trades you can imagine the extra work and confusion that is bound to arise.

-I asked them to rotate it properly and they are quite resistant. They feel they have done too much work already to turn back. But, not having done any work ourselves I am unwilling to start a project in such a sloppy manner.

-Also, once a view is rotated, the functionality of being able to navigate vertically in a straight line, simply by opening another levels floor plan, is lost.

-I’m wondering if you’ve had any experience with this. And if so, is there anything that you might add to support my argument.

Thanks in advance for any input!!
