    Default KIP Plotter

we just got a new KIP 7100 Plotter, and are having all kinds of trouble with drivers and settings (revit and acad). is anyone familiar with this plotter that could shed some light? or is there a better forum to post this to? we can't find a setting (or one that works anyway) for Merge lines, lighter lines like ceiling grids are printing over heavy lines like light fixture outlines. or we're getting solid black prints, or scattered garbage prints...

Mike, since you're curious about Revit and AutoCAD settings, I moved your question to the general hardware forum (rather than the revit-specific hardware forum), so it would be seen by AutoCAD folks too, who might have some experience.

One of my old firms used a KIP. We had troubles printing to it using LandDesktop 2008 (now its Civil3D). I tried to get a hold of the guy who ran the IT at that place but it seems that he no long does.

What I do remember was that we had issues with the drivers and had to run I believe he had us setup using some kinda HP driver which made no sense but worked for us.

I know this is super vague and proably not even worth posting but I know the struggles and thought what little input I had might help. I will still try to see if I can locate my old IT dude in the meantime.

I will say this, once we got the drivers figured the printer quality was excellent. It is slower then an OCE but prints out a nicer product. Good Luck with it.
