Default Showing door trim on a stacked wall???

I have some full view french doors on a stacked wall. I picked the brick wall (upper) as the host wall and when I do that the trim is tucked behind the cmu (lower 3'). If i reverse this it moves the doors out even with the face of the cmu which is not what I want or need. Am I supposed to cut the cmu away from the trim or what???

Exterior wall? An image would help.

A door in an exterior wall can't really have trim that is flush with different veneer faces when they are a different thickness. It's really just flagging a design issue. Depends on the situation, but I find that this usually works: Create an opening in the wall, should be as big as the door plus trim. Then put in a single wall type that matches the wall thickness and type of the wall that the trim should really attach to. Place the door in this wall. Use join geometry between walls if necessary to make the plan look good, section and details too.
