    Default Clip a dref

I'd like to see the ability to clip a datareference, in particlar large surfaces with millions of points, so my current design files are not bogged down with the excess data that's meaningless to the area i'm working in.

Picture a 20 mile linear project through hilly country - the surface is needed to do design, but not all of it all the time.

I'd rather not have to Xref in the existing surface drawing, and i don't want to have to promote the EG dref to be in my design file, so..... a capability to clip, similar to XClip, would be handy.
