Default Can I Move Windows 7 to A New SSD without Re-installation

I don't have Windows 7 media with the old pc.
I will remove all other applications from the old HDD before I install a new SSD (128GB).
I would like to know if I can create a backup DVD then re-install the Windows 7 to SSD or I can move the Windows & from the old HHD?
    Thanks in advance.

most vendors provide a way to create a backup media disk, you may need to boot into the bios or recovery mode to access it, the 'how tos' vary by manufacturer.

Sot he next question, is what's the PC? is there a vendor folder or vendor utility disk that came with it?

Sorry I haven't a change to read your tip - I was too busy.
You're right, I think I can create a set of backup disks. I will get a 256Gb SSD something this week.
    Thanks cadtag.

BTW, what if I overclock the CPU? (please read this thread) Will it help for Inventor 2014? Thanks.
