    Default Exporting Halftone Override

It looks like this was asked 2-3 years ago, with no answer at that time.

As an MEP firm, we screen the architectural background. I have that working fine in Revit using halftone overrides, etc.

From what I've found so-far, there is no way to export the Revit halftone property. I have tried exporting with overrides byentity and new layers for overrides. I even found a blog post (not sure how old) that states it cannot be done.

If you have a solution, or can confirm that it just cannot be done, please let me know.

    Thanks

Having two workset (archi and MEP) and architectur workset is desired to be in grey, you can do the following:
    1- Hide the MEP workst
    2- Export the architecture workset to a CAD file ( i.e. archi_grey)
3- Hide the architecture workset and show the MEP one,
4- Export the MEP workset to a CAD file (i.e. MEP)
5- Move to AutoCAD and In a new file "i.e. Sheet" attache (archi_grey and MEP) as Xrefs,
6- In the Sheet file and from layers manager, change the attached "archi_grey" layers to a grey color (i.e. 5, 9, 252,...etc)

Every time you need to export your Revit work to CAD, you only will overwrite " archi_grey" and "MEP" and their layers colors will remain the as have been set in the host file "Sheet ".

To make sure that colors in the host files are not going to change every time you overwrite "archi_grey and MEP", type the following command in the host file

" visretain" and set the value to "1"

    You welcome.....
