    Revit files CAN be open and worked with in LT. Of course there's some limitation when you inherit a workshared file for exemple.
    And for the record, Revit has never been backward compatible.

    Thanks Rob - I have Revit 2013 but a file created in RevitLT 2013 would be handy to test the issue.

    Hi! You are welcome. I have Revit Arch. 2013 and Revit 2014 too. Maybe Al would be willing to put a sample file from Revit LT on this link.

    That would be a great idea. It would certainly help us to decide if Revit LT is suitable for our various needs.

    Nice one! Works fine. Now we need to see if a Revit 2013 will open in a Revit LT 2013 and what features, if any, don't work in it.
