I think maybe in US or UK, most of the design groups only contain Architecture and Planning. And they only need ACA to do the Architecture part.
In my company (East-Asia)we get Arch/Stur/Plum/Mech/Elec/Tele/Civl/Inte/Site/Road/Brig/Ligt .etc we got 22 diciplines, we need not work with any other design company.
When they work in one project, all the diciplines share one apj file. This is the usual way.
Then I wondered how about offer each dicipline an apj file, relative path, the same folder framework, ask someone to sync the file when they need, that means the collaboration is time-lapse, however the config files just like arg and dwt and some work support paths will be different when we need them to be. ACA can recognize the Dwgs and their Xmls automatically, the different apjs can be merged in one if we need.
So...
Have anyone got the experience on “muti-apj ” mode? May I get some advice from you?
