    Default Help dimensioning in 3d

I have a drawing i created with 3 views (front/left side/isometric). I'm having trouble adding dimensions to my 3d drawing. No matter what edge i select, the dims only come out in one direction (along the X axis). I'd like the dims to show up in all 3 views, if possible.

    acad C3D 2013 windows.

    thanks

I don't know if C3D makes a difference but, generally, it's best to dimension in a UCS that is based on the view / parallel to one of the main faces.

edit: and the dimension will always be placed at z=0 in the current UCS regardless of elevation.
