Exclamation Elevation labels in plan view

Need Help, I have been out of Civil design for about 5 years, currently working on street designs and I have created my alignments and design my streets and now I want to label my top of curb elevations on my plan view using my profile design, I used to use a Autodesk add on for labeling but I can not remember what it was called can any one help me with this? unless some one knows of another way that I can achieve my goals. Any info will help thanks in advance.

You can create a label style using reference text. The screen capture shows a station offset label style but you could use a note label if you only want the elevation.

Okay no attached image. I couldn't figure out how to upload it.

Another quick way of doing this, is to create a surface from your proposed roadway corridor, and use a copy of the basic surface label style, and modify the label format/expression to your desired output format.

We typically use station offset labels with surface elevations. If you choose to use surface elevations make sure you provide enough corridor sections to accurately model horizontal and vertical curves at the locations where you are labeling elevations. For example, on a 50' radius curve, if your sections are spaced 25' apart and your label falls between two corridor sections your elevation could be off by several 10ths of a foot. (I wish I could insert an image)

There's an image insert button... Can you not just use that?

I tried that, several times. I select the file then pick upload file. The file shows in the list with an exclamation point in a red circle with an error #2038. The file is a 37KB PNG file.

Apparently, there are limitations to the image size, both in dimension, and actual file size:

Thanks for the info. Sorry for hijacking this thread.

The image was a little bigger than 800x600. I resized it to 635x580 and I still get the same error.

sounds good but not what I was looking for. the program was an add on the labeling program, it would use the profile information created from the alignment and it would allow you to apply an elevation at any location along the alignment.

If you are looking strictly for profile elevations you can accomplish this with reference text in a label style as I stated in my first post.
