Aligning surface patterns

Can someone tell me how I can align the lines of a surface pattern? Please see attached.

Assuming they are a Model Pattern the clue is in the question, Align...the Align tool will let you align one pattern to another.

Use the align tool, hover over the pattern line, and keep on tabbing untill the pattern line is highlighted

Again, assuming its a model pattern, you can hover over the surface and tab until you can select a single line of the pattern and use the rotate tool.
