Default Electrical Equipment Family System Parameters

When starting a new Electrical Equipment family there are 2 parameters, Voltage and Wattage, that come in with the template. What good are they? They don't default to volts or watts. You can type in anything you want and Revit wont reject it. Obviously they have no calculation value. Does anyone know of some sort of matrix that defines what the template parameters are base on to determine how they function. The deeper I go the behinder I get!

There is no matrix that I am aware of. IMO you are better off downloading families from Seek or creating families along with shared paremters so you know what you are getting. Also, if you go to the Manage Tab and click on Project Units you can see what units are available for each parameter type that you can create within your family and shared parameter list.
