Default MEP model not recognizing Arch room separation boundaries

We have many instances in our project of the project where architectural room separation lines are creating different rooms within a larger area. The separations are somewhat abitrary, depending.

When we enable room bounding in our working MEP model, run the space naming utility, and all of that good stuff, it appears that revit cannot differentiate between these open areas. Please see the picture below in the link. On the left side is our MPE model screenshot. You can see the single open area that is highlighted. How can we get our MEP model to link in these three architectural rooms (highlighted in red)?

If you've already got room bounding turned on in the properties of the A model, it should recognize the room separation lines they've drawn. Are there multiple linked models? If not, you can always draw space separation lines in your model to mimic the layout. It's on the analyze tab right next to the space creation command.

Room bounding is on, and there is one linked file.

But I can see in the arch model that they have placed room separation lines that for whatever reason did not transfer over. We have since separated the spaces ourselves but its not good practice considering we'd have to constantly manually update this.

They've been incredibly sloppy drafters thus far, so my only guess is they're screwing up so far since the only thing MEP can do to work with their model essentially is run the space naming utility.

    Thank you for the response.

You *might* be able to Copy/Monitor room separation lines from their model, so you'll get a notification ("Instance of Linked File needs Coordination Review") when they move them around. I've never tried it, don't know if it's possible, but it might be worth a shot.
