Default How to convert ACIS(.sat) 3D Model to the STEP(.stp) Model from single file of 3D .dwg drawing ?

    Respected AUGI Team,

1> We want to convert ACIS(.sat) 3D Model to the STEP(.stp) Model or directly from single file of 3D .dwg drawing to the STEP(.stp) Model.

2> Sometimes we are having export packages of the project in which many .dwg drawings are there in the folder Piping, structure,Instrumentation and Equipment.

Now we have to combine these all drawing to 1 ACIS or directly to Step file.

Please let me know whether it can possible?

Waiting for your earliest reply for any solution.

    Note - We are using:

    Software : Autocad 2012-64Bit , Naviswork 2013 , Inventor Ultimate 2014-64 Bit ,
    BENTLEY Autoplant V8i - SS4 version : 8.11.9.140 , MS-Office 2010 - 64 Bit.

Hardware : Workstation Dell Precision T3600

    Have you solved this yet??

Without seeing the datafiles, I cannot be 100% certain, but Inventor has a very robust step exporter. If all of the sat data is spatially correct, you should be able import the sat data into Inventor and export the single step. This sounds like you will have a large dataset, so you may have to wait some time for the process to complete.

If you want to post/send the files, I will see what I can do. I have the 2015 versions of the Autodesk software, but I do not have a copy of Autoplant, which may be a hindrance...
