I'm pretty much the CAD management department for a medium sized Events Production Company based out of San Diego. We work on some pretty big projects and the Lighting department has asked me for a way to automate their process. I've built them an extensive library of Lighting Symbols that have dynamic personalities. However, I want to take it a step further and build some LISP routines that allow me to do the following:
-Edit a specific attribute one at a time (e.g.- only edit the "CHANNEL" attribute or only edit the "CIRCUIT" attribute)
-Increase by "X" based on order the blocks were selected where "X" is user defined. I would use this when assigning addresses to automated lighting where each fixture has a fixed amount of channels.
The problem, however, is where do I start? Would this be a LISP routine or a Script? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
