Custom divide surface pattern?

I am aware of the standard patterns available in a conceptual mass for creating curtain systems (hexagon, octagon, rectangle, etc.). Is it possible to create a custom pattern, or to modify one of the standard ones? I am trying to make a herringbone pattern. Thanks.

I don't believe you can create custom patterns in a conceptual mass... yet. However, have you tried the Arrow or Zig-Zag patterns? They look very much like herringbone to me. If they aren't exactly what you want, you may be able to manipulate the Pattern-Based component to tile the way you want on top of one of those. Do you have a picture of what you want to accomplish?
