Default Elevation Editor Jumps to Bottom of List after Editing Elevation Value

I am editing vertex elevations on a long feature line for the finish grade around the perimeter of my building. Each time I change an elevation value, elevation editor refreshes and goes to the bottom of the long list. I then have to scroll back up and find the vertex I edited so I can move to the next vertex to edit.

Very time consuming for simple elevation edits.

Anyone know how to turn this off and make it work more like a spread sheet. Or, do you have suggestions on how you deal with this.
    Thanks in Advance
    as

Just found Quick Elevation Edit button. Great tool!

Can use this instead of Elevation Editor. Much faster!
