Default Printing Sign in Gothic Font

I want to make a sign with 1" letters in the Gothice font but when I print it, it is very light and cannot be read further than a foot away.

How can I make the the lettering very dense and filled in to make it very noticeable?

I like the gothice font. but is there another fancy font that can be made more visible that would be appropriate for a front door sign?

    Thanks

    Hi, welcome to AUGI.
Acad's shx fonts are stroke-based because they were designed for pen-plotters. For signage, you should use truetype (ttf) fonts which are designed as (filled) outlines.
You should have several gothic type fonts in your \Windows\Fonts folders - "Old English Text MT" is one of them.

    This screenshot shows both.
