    Default Rise/Drop symbol issues

Just wondering if anyone else had issues with the rise/drop symbology for pipe besides just adjusting the size. I can't believe we've never noticed before as we've done lot's of jobs or maybe something has changed but we now notice the piping rise/drop symbol will show up even if below equipment or ductwork and does not screen to hidden line settings (still shows dark and cont). In our case we have pipe connected up to the basin of cooling tower and the pipe symbol (two line) shows through the top of the cooling tower.

Yes, I have noticed this - and it's pretty frustrating. Basically, the rise/drop symbol is considered an "annotation" in Revit. Annotations do not obey hidden line rules and always go to the top. For example, text is always on top of things because it's an annotation. Even if you have a masking region, if there is a family with text in the symbol inside that region it will appear on top when printed (But not in view for some reason). It would be really nice to have the engine driving the piping symbology updated to allow for proper rise/drop symbols and hidden line...
