    Default Split Bus Electrical Panel

    Trying to create a split bus panel with Integrated Transfer Switch that I can circuit 100% of the load to a Main Distribution Panel and also only circuit the Emergency Circuits on that Split Bus Panel to an Emergency Generator Distribution Panel. Chances are it will require a second connector on the split-bus panel, I just don't want to fill in the emergency load manually on the connector (or by radio), I would like Revit to do this calculation for me and ideally be able to choose what circuits are emergency and only tally those loads when circuited to the GDP.

    This is the actual split bus panel:

    You'll probably have to use two separate panelboard instances for each portion of your split bus panel.

    If I did that, I would have to add a second connector to all the Electrical Fixtures that are also Emergency, to be able to circuit them to both panels.

    I would use 2 separate panels, maybe stacked on a wall so they'll show as one in plan. if your emergency panel is sub-fed from a breaker in the normal panel, then you'll be able to get total emergency load and total combined loads, they will go thru to the bus of the normal panel via the 3-pole breaker. you will have 2 separate panel schedules, but your math would be correct. I think you'll have to fake and size yourself the emergency feeder to the generator for your plans/one-line. revit won't care at that point.

    But this would be a manual load that I would have to calculate from the Main Panel's Emergency Circuits to input into the Emergency Panel to then circuit to the GDP. I would like Revit to do this for me instead.
