Default Can't create folder within AutoCAD

Strange thing has happened..... if i do an open or even save as and try to create a new folder within the dialog box, my AutoCAD basically locks up and all I get is the spinning wheel. Have to go thru task manager to shut down AutoCAD.
    Has anyone heard of this?
Does this in 2012, 2014 and also Revit 2013 and 2014. All my AutoDesk products basically

    That's a strange one.

All I can say is that it doesn't happen to me. It does automatically give it the "New Folder" name, and I have to manually tell the system to rename it (whereas within Windows, It automatically puts the folder in Rename mode).

Is this a network location? If so, do you have access to add new files/folders?
