    Default Rotation Grips

    Hello All,

I'm moving across from AUTOCAD and I'm trying to recreate my blocks.

Is there any way to include rotation grips or handles as in the AUTOCAD block attributes.

This is simply to allow me to easily rotate and align objects on the plans with out having to use the rotating tool all of the time.

    Many thanks

    Welcome to the forums.
Are you trying to rotate the entire family or elements within the family? (a bit out of touch with ACAD so I'm not sure if the latter is possible in ACAD)
If you need to rotate the family to align the family with another element as you place it (e.g. desk aligned to an angled wall) you can do this by hovering over the aligning element until it pre-highlights and tapping the space bar until you get the proper orientation. Revit will snap perpendicular to the referencing element and then cycle through 90 degrees each time you hit the space bar.

    HI Dimitri,

What I was looking for was a full rotation grip for the whole family but I've decide to use the host system instead and make my families wall hosted meaning I don't have to actually rotate them at all.

    Many thanks
