    Default REFERENCE LSP

There use to be a lisp program called REFERENCE that allowed you to move items via a reference point that you select. Anyone know where I can get that. It was nice because you didn't have to create extra offset lines to move your geometry to.

I have never heard of this routine, but that doesn't mean much .

This thread really should be in the Lisp/programming forum though, unless you mean that it came with AutoCAD 2012?

Anywho, I would imagine that would be something that could be easily written.
But it seems to me that using the move command with a base point and relative coordinates is easy enough without a lisp(?)

How did this routine work (what did it ask you to select/provide for info)?

The MOVE Command currently requires a base point, which can be relative to anything, or nothing as it were - More information is needed.

    Cheers

I was wondering what the OP encountered with this "reference" routine he speaks of.
I assume the move command would be in reference to some picked or typed point (relative coordinate) or something.

You're right, more information is needed.
Or maybe someone out there has heard of this "Reference.lsp"?

I think there was a FROM command at some point but it I don't see it in 2012. I want to move geometry from a reference point. I grab the items, select a base point on the items, then a reference point and a distance from that ie @-14,0.

Sure, the From command can be entered after Move Base Point has been selected.

What about the existing "temporary track point" in your osnaps?
This seems to have what you are asking for.
