Default Extracting duct elements on the critical path for external analysis

Seeing that the system inspector is capable of finding the critical path for ducts, and then breaking it down for further analysis in the pressure report, I wanted to ask if it's possible to somehow extract the information from the elements that fall on the critical path so that I can automatically input the relevant parameter data into my own static pressure calculations in MS Excel.

I am currently forced to create a new parameter in my duct families to split the duct systems into sections (akin to the Sections shown in the pressure report in Revit), and then *manually* keying in the data to break the system into sections. for ALL systems. as you can imagine, this is a really boring and tedious job, especially knowing that Revit can magically do that for me. My question is "how????" and "where can i find this info in my project?"

If i can find out how Revit does it, or how i can extract/sort my schedules using a filter for sections under the critical path for each system, my job would be so much easier. Any help?
