    Default KeyboardShortcuts.txt -- what's your strategy?

I've developed a fairly complete list of shortcuts over time (attached) with some mods to the Out Of The Box shortcuts, especially ones that get used all the time:

MM is Move (rather than Mirror)
    MI is Mirror
    AA is Align
    TT is Text
    Q is Properties
` is View Properties (to the left of the 1 key)
IO is Isolate Object (instead of HI)
CI is Category Invisible (instead of VH)
OI is Other Categories Invisible (instead of VI)
    RT is Rotate
LL is Model Lines (rather than add Level)
    DD is Drafting Lines
SW is Split Walls and Lines
    OO is Offset
DE is Dimension (rather than Delete -- you can just hit the Delete key anyway)
    etc.

I've tried to keep shortcuts close together or similar to the command name -- Isolate Object, Wall Join, Cut Geometry, etc. We have some Microsoft split keyboard lovers in our office and I'm wondering if people have developed shortcuts to deal with that.

It's one of the only things you can customize in Revit, and there's time to be saved in it, for sure.

I use all of the out-of-box ones since I teach alot of classes and mention the shortcuts when talking about commands.

The one I can't live without adding is WH for Close Hidden Windows.

WH, open another view, WT...all the time.

Have you ever hit Window Tile and gotten about 16 postage stamp sized windows?

I take an approach similar to Wes. For the most used commands I reserve the easiest to type shortcuts:

    AA - Align
    CC - Copy
    DD - Dimension
    MM - Move
    RR - Rotate
    SS - Split
    TT - Trim
    VV - Visibility/Graphics

Another thing that works well for me is using the number keys 1 and 2 for detail and model lines.

I make my own custom shortcuts to utilize as many of the most common commands that I use. I'll save mine here for you to look at but I have a feeling that might not use mine for long or at all.A great example is that you standard commands for copy, rotate, mirror ...etc I use Z,X,C,V,B. as it shown on the top commands. Those are my most used commands of other commands so those are easy to reach.

    Cheers!

I have the same ones Scott does, except more:

    AA - Align
    CC - Copy
    DD - Dimension
    FF - Load Family
    KK - User Keynote
    MM - Move
    OO - Offset
    PP - Properties
    RR - Rotate
    S1 - Save
    S2 - Save To Central
    S3 - Save As
SS - Split Walls and Lines
    TT - Trim/Extend
    VV - Visibility/Graphics
ZE - Zoom To Fit (Zoom Extents)

I kept ZZ as Zoom In Region (Zoom Window)

I like that. F3 and F4 are very fast and effecient. Thanks! I made Object Styles OB since the B was closer than S and Close Hidden Windows is CW so I don't have to move my hand. Also, OP for Open.

    JJ join
    UJ unjoin

    are definite favorites.
and, for those that haven't read me banging on about this before, mapping a spare mouse button to Alt-Enter really save time bringing up the properties box.
