Default Custom shortcuts in deployment configuration AutoCAD 2015

I have found no documentation on how to create a custom shortcut in a deployment of AutoCAD 2015. Information just drops off when it gets to the "User Preferences" section. Under Create custom desktop shortcuts, what does it want for "Shortcut parameters?

    Welcome to AUGI!

I haven't created a deployment with AutoCAD 2015, but I suspect they're referring to the desired startup switches to be applied to the application icon's Target property. This can always be modified later as well, manually.

    Cheers

In order to ensure users are using the correct AutoCAD settings, we deploy without any desktop shortcuts. Our standard image has a shortcut to a BAT file which calls various setup functions plus a separate BAT file, which is responsible for copying a set of LNK (shortcut) files to the users desktop. In case a user *really* buggers up their desktop, we just have to run that secondary BAT file to get them back.

We do not alter the deployment at all, but rather post-process things just before or during the initial launch (similar to what dgorsman says). Years ago it was a struggle to get anything custom in a deployment to work right, and be consistent version to version, so doing it ourselves after the fact has worked much better.

For our 2014 deployment, I did not use the Create Custom Desktop Shortcuts section, as I wanted to have custom shortcut icons. Instead, I created the shortcuts, and then used the Additional Files secton to have these copied into the Public Desktop.

Thank you everyone for the input, but are you all saying that there is no documentation on this?

Click on the Startup Switches link in BlackBox's reply --

Just saying click on "startup switches" does not help. Placing anything in the Shortcut parameters section only gives an "Invalid Shortcut parameter" error, so if you could be a little less cryptic. The "/nohardware" switch appears to not function at all just adding it to the existing AutoCAD shortcut that is created at install.

well, what are you putting in? what do you want to put in? What exactly are you trying to accomplish with the desktop shortcut that would differ from the OOTB setup?

I would like to start with the "/nohardware" switch added to the shortcut on installation.
    Thanks
