    Default Placing Void Forms

I am trying to place a void extrusion to block a wall "block-out" or "knock-out" for a concrete pilaster. I have tried youtube, but haven't really found anything helpful. Any help is greatly appreciated.

When I try to Cut Geometry it won't let me pick the foundation wall.

Structural columns can cut walls. There is no need to cut a wall with a void to make a room for a column (if that’s what you’re trying to do), unless you have some unique condition. Can you post screen shots, so we can better understand what is that you’re trying to achieve?

PijPiwo, how do I do this? I have placed my pilasters as conc. columns. Revit does not do it automatically and when I try to cut geometry nothing happens.
    Thank you for the help.

If the wall is structural and you insert a structural column, the column and the wall will join automatically (condition 1), and if you use a Switch Join Order tool, a column will cut the wall (condition 2). Or, you can just make the wall non-structural, insert a column, use a join geometry tool and change the wall back to structural.

If the wall is non-structural and you insert a structural column, the column and the wall will not join automatically (condition 3). Join Geometry tool has to be used (condition 4).

I guess I am not familiar with the Switch Join Order tool.
